Senior Dating Agency Australia is a moderated online community for adults aged 50 and over. This notice explains what information is collected and how it is used when you register, communicate with other members or contact the website.
Last updated: 5 November 2026.
What information we collect
Registration: your email address, chosen nickname, declared birth year, password (stored as a one-way hash), verification status and consent to our terms.
Member profile: city or town, state or territory, profile description, relationship intentions, interest selections and an optional profile photo.
Community activity: which profiles you express interest in, mutual matches, private messages, blocked accounts and reports submitted to moderators.
Security: limited technical information, including temporary hashed IP-based counters to reduce spam and abuse, and ordinary web-server logs needed for security and operations.
Who can see your profile?
Unauthenticated visitors and unapproved accounts cannot browse private member profiles. Approved members can see your chosen nickname, approximate five-year age range, general location, relationship intentions, interest selections, description and approved photo. Your email address, exact birth year and password are never included in your public profile.
Profile photos are kept in storage outside the public website directory and served only after checking member permissions. Photographs must be reviewed before they appear to other members.
Who can read private messages?
Messages are made accessible to the two people in a mutually connected conversation. Site administrators do not routinely browse private conversations through the normal moderation interface. If a member reports an individual message, moderators can review that reported message in order to assess the complaint. Technical administrators responsible for maintaining the database may have access when necessary for security, legal or operational purposes.
Why we process the information
We use the information to create and verify accounts, review profiles, provide member search and mutual-interest messaging, deliver requested email notifications, prevent abuse, respond to enquiries and handle member safety reports.
Emails and notifications
We send account verification messages and service emails. If you enable notifications, we may alert you to new private messages or mutual interests without including the private message text. You can turn off optional message notifications in your profile. We do not sell contact data or use dating details for third-party marketing.
Storage and international processing
The website uses third-party hosting and email infrastructure. Some data may be stored or processed outside Australia, including by infrastructure providers and service administrators. Access is limited for operational purposes and subject to appropriate account controls. Our site currently loads typography from Google Fonts, which can transmit connection information to Google.
Retention and deletion
Member data and messages are kept while an account remains active. When you delete your member account, your profile, stored private photo, interactions, messages and associated reports in the live community database are removed. Copies may persist temporarily in routine backups or mail systems according to operational retention schedules.
Enquiries submitted through the general contact form are scheduled for deletion from the WordPress administrative area after approximately 60 days; related email notifications may remain in a business mailbox. Security logs may be retained for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
Your choices and requests
You can edit your profile, remove its photo, disable optional notifications, block other members and request assistance with a report. The My profile page also lets you download your profile and message data in JSON format or permanently delete your member account.
Security and important limits
We use email verification, moderator review, restricted access to member photos, account passwords and permission checks. However, no online service can guarantee complete security. We do not independently verify a member’s identity or declared age and cannot control content others may save or remember. Avoid sharing financial details, identification documents or your home address.
Contact us about privacy
For privacy questions and data requests, use contact@sanum.be or our contact form. Definitive business identification details should be confirmed and published by the site operator before expanded commercial operations.
